Dr. Charles Hindler is a highly regarded Consultant Psychiatrist with over 40 years of clinical experience. He qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) in 1982, followed by a specialisation in Psychiatry, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 1989. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Hindler obtained a Master’s degree in Philosophy (MPhil) in 1992 and a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in 2000.
Dr. Hindler’s distinguished career began at Guys Hospital, where he served as an NHS Consultant and Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry. Transitioning to full-time private practice in 2002, he gained recognition in Tatler’s prestigious list of Britain’s Best Doctors from 2005 to 2007. Renowned for his dedication, he continues to be a trusted figure among his peers and patients alike.
As an Honorary Lecturer at the University of East London, Dr. Hindler has shared his knowledge on complex mental health topics such as ADHD and Generalised Anxiety Disorder with fellow Consultant Psychiatrists. His roles have included affiliations with prominent institutions like Cygnet Hospital Godden Green and the Priory Hospital Hayes Grove, contributing significantly to their mental health programmes.
Dr. Hindler now focuses on his online and outpatient clinics, providing expert psychiatric care and regularly consulting for Kent Police’s occupational health division.
