专业经历

Chris John is renowned for his empathic relational style of therapy. Since achieving his Masters at Greenwich University, he has become a leading trauma-informed therapist, offering curated psychotherapy services to clients across the UK and internationally.

Chris John is a Psychotherapist at Harbor who specialises in relationship difficulties, developmental trauma, co-dependency and addiction, as well as issues of self-esteem and identity.

He also has particular expertise in love addiction and love avoidance, sexual compulsion and dysfunction, sexual identity and LGBT+ issues, and the difficulties some people face in adjusting to wealth and success.

Across all of this, his focus is on the patterns that affect people’s emotional wellbeing and their connections with others.

Professional Background & Qualifications

Chris holds a Master’s degree from the University of Greenwich.

He has also trained with Dr Laurence Heller, who developed the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), a therapy designed for developmental trauma, and is a qualified NARM Practitioner.

Healthcare Leadership & Experience

Chris works with clients in the UK and internationally, seeing individuals as well as couples and families.

His couples work covers communication difficulties, co-dependency and love addiction, while with families, he helps with relationship dynamics, behavioural problems and disagreements between parents.

Approach to Care

Chris’s approach is relational. He looks at the experiences and patterns that shape how people relate to themselves and to others.

Therapy with him is collaborative, and he adapts it depending on whether he is working with one person, a couple or a whole family.

At Harbor, his work suits clients whose addiction is closely tied to their relationships, such as those dealing with co-dependency or love addiction.
