Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy at Harbor: curated care, utter discretion
Hypnotherapy is rooted in science. By inducing a deeply relaxed and hypnotic state, our expert therapists can help treat various mental health conditions, overcome addictions or change harmful habits. By tapping into the profound power of the subconscious, hypnotherapy helps to rewire deep-seated patterns and behaviours, fostering transformative healing from within. .
During this state the subconscious mind becomes more accessible, and more receptive to positive suggestions. This enables effective resolution of underlying issues and promotes holistic wellbeing by detaching from external attention and focusing on the inner experience.
At Harbor, we work with leading healthcare specialists to provide a whole-person approach to treatment, ensuring that individual needs are prioritised throughout each journey to recovery.
What to expect from hypnotherapy
We do our best to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible during hypnotherapy. Most people liken these sessions to the feeling you experience first thing in the morning when lying in bed; conscious and awake, but deeply relaxed and serene. During a hypnotherapy session, your dedicated therapist will guide you through the process to enter a hypnotic trance, enhancing your focus and responsiveness to positive suggestions. There are four stages to this process:
- Initial assessment: Discuss your medical history and treatment goals with your therapist.
- Inducing hypnosis: Your therapist will guide you into a deeply relaxed state, making you more open to therapeutic suggestions.
- Therapeutic suggestions: Your therapist will then use prior agreed-upon methods to address your goals, such as overcome addiction, address psychological conditions, or manage chronic pain.
- Post-session discussion: After guiding you out, you’ll discuss the session’s outcomes and any insights gained.
Hypnotherapy sessions are designed to leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. While everyone’s individual response varies, many clients experiencing significant improvements in their conditions. Many report that things that were previously seen as impossible are instead seen as manageable and even desirable.
It is important to know that you are fully in control while under hypnosis and cannot be forced to take on suggestions that you don’t want to.
