Professional Experience
With nearly two decades of experience in mental health, Kuda is an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse, specialising in eating disorders. Having trained at the University of Surrey and completed specialist therapy training through the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) in London, Kuda has extensive expertise in treating complex cases across inpatient, day care, and outpatient settings.
Kuda spent 17 years in a highly regarded NHS eating disorder service in London, holding leadership and supervisory roles while delivering evidence-based treatments. They have worked with mid-adolescents and adults facing a spectrum of eating disorders, often alongside co-occurring psychological and physical health challenges. Her integrative approach draws on motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT-ED, MANTRA, FBT, and SSCM, tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs.
Beyond clinical work, Kuda has contributed to early intervention research projects, led workshops and conference sessions, and played a pivotal role in training and developing multidisciplinary teams. Kuda also has significant experience supporting young adults in their transition to independent living, helping them navigate academic pressures, self-management, and emotional wellbeing.
