Paul Kong is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, with over 20 years of clinical experience across public and private healthcare settings.
Paul Kong is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, with over 20 years of clinical experience across public and private healthcare settings.
He has held senior roles within Hong Kong’s public hospital system, including serving as Service Team In Charge of Adult Psychiatry. His clinical work focuses on the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, addiction, eating disorders, relational difficulties, and stress-related concerns.
Paul is a Certified Trainer and Rater with the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and the Founder of the Chinese Association of Motivational Interviewing (CAMI). He has delivered specialist training internationally to healthcare professionals, with particular expertise in resolving internal ambivalence and strengthening motivation for change within therapeutic work.
He is also the co-author of Effective Self-Help for Anxiety and has contributed to a number of academic publications and translation projects. In addition, he has served as Guest Lecturer at The University of Hong Kong and as Honorary Clinical Supervisor at both The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
