Roger Gilbert

Roger Gilbert is a Recovery Manager at Harbor. He comes to the role from a long career in business, followed by work as a life and executive coach.

Before moving into coaching, Roger spent more than 40 years in sales and trading. He ended that career as CEO of Parabellum Markets, a London-based foreign exchange trading company.

He now works with people going through big changes at work or at home, as well as those who want help with leadership or with setting and reaching goals.

Professional Background & Qualifications

Roger studied at the University of Illinois Chicago and later completed the Executive Education Programme (IMP) at London Business School.

His professional background includes business development, client care and company leadership within financial markets.

Professional Experience

Roger is a coach rather than a clinician, and at Harbor he brings that coaching experience to his work as a Recovery Manager. His clients include senior professionals and business leaders.

Much of his coaching focuses on leadership and performance, and he also mentors business leaders and advises on managing change and developing talent.

Having run a company himself, he understands the pressure that comes with responsibility and with making difficult decisions, and he draws on that when supporting clients in similar positions.

Roger’s coaching is practical. He helps clients clarify what they want and what stands in their way, then works with them to map out the steps to get there.

His approach suits clients who would benefit from more structure and someone to hold them accountable as they make changes.
