Timothy is a Recovery Manager with extensive experience supporting individuals navigating addiction
recovery, mental health challenges, neurodivergent experiences, and significant life transitions. He specialises
in embedded, long-term recovery placements, providing consistent support and guidance through treatment,
reintegration, travel, family transitions, and the everyday realities of building a sustainable and fulfilling life in
recovery.
Before moving into recovery work, Timothy spent over twenty years in high-pressure creative industries,
working internationally across media and production environments. This experience has given him a deep
understanding of discretion, pressure, performance, and the unique challenges faced by individuals whose
personal lives often exist alongside demanding professional responsibilities. He has particular experience
supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and navigating complex personal and professional
environments.
Drawing on his academic background, his understanding of human behaviour and social systems, and his own
lived experience, Timothy believes recovery is not simply about abstinence, but about helping people build
lives that feel purposeful, connected, and sustainable. He is passionate about helping clients rediscover joy,
rebuild relationships, and experience the freedom and possibilities that recovery can bring. His approach is
informed by his own recovery journey, profound personal grief, and supporting a loved one through addiction
and complex mental health challenges. These experiences have shaped a compassionate and deeply human
understanding of the realities of change.
Timothy has particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, including those navigating identity,
relationships, chemsex, and co-occurring mental health challenges. He brings an open, non-judgemental
approach to conversations that can often feel difficult to share, creating space for honesty, trust, and meaningful
progress.
Alongside his recovery work, Timothy mentors students and young adults through periods of transition,
identity, and wellbeing. He holds a First Class degree in Human, Social and Political Sciences from the
University of Cambridge.
